Planning a cultural wedding in Seattle? You need to attend this event!

I can speak from experience when I say that planning a cultural wedding in Seattle is not a simple affair. While there are so many talented wedding vendors in the area, it's tough finding the ones who have experience in cultural weddings - think Indian weddings, fusion weddings, etc. - especially if you are not already familiar with the industry.

Attending wedding shows is a big part of gaining that familiarity, but the big ones can feel more than a bit overwhelming. Not to mention how frustrating it can be when you realize the mainstream wedding industry just isn't quite cut out to support a unique, and true-to-you event.

That's why I love the wedding events put on by Her Big Day LLC. Last January, they put on their first Cultural Wedding Show, to be reprised this year. The event features dozens of vendors for cultural brides to meet with and learn about their services directly. The event also features a fashion show highlighting all the latest bridal looks across various different cultures including Indian, Somali, Nigerian, and many more. Designer Baban Gill of Baban Gill Couture will be showcasing her designs and will have  racks of dresses available for SALE during the show.

Here are the details for this year's event.
