Get The Look: Wood Carving Inspired Bedroom Decor

Source: HGTV

Hello lovely readers! Today we are branching out into the realm of home decor and living with our first Get the Look feature for Happy Shaadi Living. We will be posting weekly blogs with decor ideas, recipes, and style features, all with a dose of Happy Shaadi style of course.

This bedroom is so lovely to me. It's warm and inviting. The perfect place to rest and be renewed after a hard day. The rich color palette and beautiful textures are stunning and would look beautiful in any bed room. Here are a few ways you can incorporate this style into your own home.

Carved Wooden Headboard

I've always loved the idea of a carved wood screen used as a headboard. They are not the most frugal pieces of decor on the market, but lord are they beautiful. Luckily you can find some stunning carved wood wall decor like these for a reasonable price.

Golden Metallic Accents

Shots of gold are seen in the lamp and decor accents in the photo above. Metalic elements are really in vogue right now, and they give a room a little kick of luxury amid the practicalities of every day life. Lamps and picture frames are an easy way to incorporate the metal into the room's design.

Richly Hued Textiles

Adding bedding with luxurious textures and deep colors helps to create the look. A rusty red comforter cover accented with gold and sage green create a warm and welcoming color palette.

Wildlife Artwork

The portrait of a jaguar in the room featured above adds an element of sophisticated wilderness to the overall look of the room. The key here is to use an understated piece with a neutral color scheme to accent without drawing too much attention.

I'm pretty smitten with this heron print from Wayfair.
